Think about the ways you use water every day. Then think about the ways water is in our life in the background, like our beautiful yards and the one and only Everglades. There are the showers we take and the ponds where birds find food.
But we all have to use the same water supply, so we have to protect it while we use it. Conserving water means we only use what we need now, so we’ll have plenty later.
We also need to keep water clean. We do this in lots of ways, like using less fertilizer and pesticide, picking up trash and debris. Not flushing things that shouldn’t be flushed.
How do you protect water resources?
